Designing for others starts with designing your own life. As a graphic designer, what change are you actually making while sitting behind your MacBook working in InDesign? And...
...what would happen if you treat your direct environment as carefully as you treat your InDesign files?
To raise this question I translated the digital InDesign canvas in a 6 meter long, hand-made installation.
The physical InDesign canvas was placed in the direct environment of design students.
Presented at the graphic design departement of the KABK, the goal of this work is to create awareness about the essence of self reflection within the design discipline. But most of all it asks the students to stay critical towards the difference between saving an InDesign file and saving the world.
